Letter Form

The assignment was to convey tension, congestion, pattern, and negative and positive space while incorporating the actual word into the design. I used Illustrator for the whole design and i used the pencil tool, scale (resizing tool), and a tool to make spheres.

Repelling

The assignment was to erase all of the imperfections. I used photoshop to erase all of the holes and discolorations with the cloning tool.

Choosing Fonts

The assignment was to combine different types of fonts together to make them look presentable. The three shown below are a few example of one excellent one, a moderate one, and a horrible one. The program used for the project was Illustrator.

Buissness

The assignment was to crete a business card design for a restaurant (sushi restaurant) that is easily readable and pleasing to the eye. I used Illustrator for the whole project and used the pencil tool for the chop sticks and shape making tool for the california rolls.

Timmy and Sue

The goal of this assignment was to combine 2 different pictures to make a underwater scene. The giraffe was colorized (blue) and transferred to the background of the ocean picture. The giraffe is supposed to be a sea monster.

Zoo Postcard

This assignment was supposed to teach us how to make a postcard that was legible and pleasing to the client and consumer. Although the postcard below is very plain, it very well organized and easily read. This was created in Illustrator.

Family

The goal of this assignment was to enhance an old picture to todays standards. We needed to remove the tape and other imperfections to make it seem like it isn't as old and destroyed as it actually is. This project was done entirely in Photoshop and the most commonly used tools were cloning and dust and scratches.

Melody of Words

This assignment was to make a T-shirt design that was to be used in the Melody Of Words art show at El Camino Real High School. It had to include something about literature or reading and had to be relevant. it was created in Illustrator and the most commonly used tools for this project were clip art (from bridge) and the shape making tools to create the worm and apple.

Scarecrow

The point of this assignment was to put 2 pictures together to make them look like they had been together in 1 from the beginning. The background was blurred to make it seem like it is farther away then the scarecrow and the scarecrow was placed at a certain angel that it looks like it is quite close. Illustrator was the only program used in this project.

Crew

This assignment was assignment to teach us how to fix a tear in a picture. This was done entirely in Photoshop and the tool used to fix the rip was the cloning tool.

Flowers

This project was assigned to teach us how to create flowers in a more timely manner. It was done in Illustrator and the tools used were the twirl tool and shape making tools.

Girl Retouch

The goal of this assignment was to take an already beautiful girl and enhance her appearance to model status. The first set of pictures was what the girl would look like with toned down natural make-up but still edited to perfection. the second set of pictures was intense make-up, almost movie like, and still make her sin flawless. This project was done fully in Photoshop and the most commonly used tools were gaussian blur, clone tool, heeling brush tool,masking , and hue and saturation (colorize).

Handsome Man

This project was assigned to teach us how to enhance the appearance of a picture to make it more appealing or youthful. Photoshop was the program used and to enhance the color of his teeth I used masking and to take the wrinkles out of his skin i used a heeling brush tool.

Dear Old Grandfather

The objective of this assignment was to fix an old photo and colorize it to make it look modern. It was done fully in Photoshop and there were many different tools used to achieve the final goal. Cloning, dust and scratches, masking ( hue and saturation/colorize) were just a few of the most commonly used tools.

Color Predictions

The point of this project was to make a poster about color predictions. Illustrator was the program used to create this and shape tools, clip art, and type tool was used as well.

Killer Bee

This project was to create a bookmark based on a from a previously existing design (the bee). I used Illustrator for the whole project and the line tool to create the path he flew on and the type tool for the words.

City

This project was done in Photoshop and was assigned to teach us how to combine more then one picture together. Many different types of tools were used including the lasso tool and gradient.

Hot Sauce

This project was done in photoshop and was assigned to teach us how to put type over a picture. Emboss was one of the tools most commonly used.

Ocean

This was assigned to teach us how to combine two pictures into one. This was one of the first pictures we had done in photoshop.

Please Take Notes

This was assigned to teach us how to warp and disfigure type. It was created in photoshop and the design in the type was taken from the internet.

Jesus Christ Superstar

This assignment was for El camino real's drama production of jesus christ superstar. It had to have a rave feel to it and I created it in photoshop and useded clip art and type tool.

Soda Label

The objective of this project was to create an entirely new soda label/soda and create a design to go around a liter bottle and create a logo and catch phrase to go with it. This was done fully in Illustrator and the tools used were shape making tools/line tools (pencil and pen tool), and the type tool.

MRS Logo

This was created in Illustrator and the assignment was to create a logo for a metal service. I created it in Illustrator and used the sphere tool and type tool.

CD Cover Design

The assignment was to create a completely new CD cover and back. I used Jimi Hendrix, Bob Marley, and Bob Dylan for my CD. Photoshop was the only program used for this project and i used many different tools. The most commonly used tool in this project was cloning, re-sizing, gradient, and the lasso tool to cut all of the men out.

Commodities

This project was assigned to teach us what commodities were actually important to us. We had to make it color coordinated and look pleasing to the eye. It was created in photoshop and the lasso tool was the most commonly used tool.

Logo Design

The assignment was to design 6 different restaurant logos for your client. You had to make them simple yet elegant and pleasing to the eye but also legible. The project was done using Illustrator and the most used tools were the type tool and pencil tool.

Simply Sushi

This assignment was to teach us how to create a letter head and business card for ours or a clients business. Illustrator was the only program I used to create y designs and i used the type tool and line making tools quite a lot.
